D2C kidswear brand Kidbea raises funding from Ritesh Malik, Nitish Mittersain, others
D2C kidswear brand Kidbea has raised funding from angel investors Ritesh Malik (founder of Innov8), Nitish Mittersain (founder of Nazara Technologies) , and cardiovascular surgeon Shriram Nene (actor Madhuri Dixit's husband) as part of its ongoing Series A round. Kidbea is looking to raise USD 2 million in this round, which will see participation from investors based in Dubai, Oman, Japan and the US and close in the next 2-3 months.The funds will be used for team expansion and for research and development (R&D).Founded in 2021 by Aman Kumar Mahto, Mohammad Hussain, and Swapnil Srivastava, Kidbea claims to offer spill-proof and sustainable clothes made from bamboo for children. It also sells soft toys and kids’ accessories like feeding bottles and nibblers. Kidbea is also planning to launch two new sub-brands – a plant-based skincare brand for kids and a plant-based diapers and wet wipes brand.It had previously raised over USD 1 million in pre-Series A round from Venture Catalysts, Agility Ventures, Droom Founders, and Japanese actor Hiro Mizushima. The startup's revenue stood at INR 23 crore in FY24.
