Data centres builder Sify Infinit raises $71-M from IFC; to raise $300-M more

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has invested USD 71 million in Chennai-headquartered carrier-neutral data centre builder Sify Infinit Spaces as part of a broader commitment to inject USD 371 million into the company.Sify Infinit, the data centre arm of Sify Technologies, plans to use the capital to build two data centres in Navi Mumbai and Chennai with a combined capacity of 103 MW, specifically designed for AI-ready workloads. These facilities would expand access to energy-efficient digital infrastructure for banking, media, and e-commerce sectors.Earlier this year, the company received regulatory approval to raise approximately INR 3,700 crore through an initial public offering (IPO). However, the company has deferred its listing plans due to volatile market conditions.

In Nov 2021, Sify Infinit Spaces had attracted about $ 134 M from Kotak Alternate.For FY25, Sify Infinit Spaces had reported about INR 1,428 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 126 Cr in PAT.
