Data compression-focused deep-tech firm Quarkitech raises Rs.2-Cr from Artha Access, Finvolve

Chennai-based Quarkitech has raised INR 2 crore in pre-seed funding from Artha Access and Finvolve. The company has also received a grant of INR 1.5 crore under the National Quantum Mission.Founded in 2025 by Rajesh Narayanan, Sanyam Parashar, Shashikant Singh Kunwar, and Vishnu P.K, Quarkitech, based at IIT Madras Research Park, develops proprietary data compression technology for defence, aerospace, and data-intensive applications.The company plans to use the funds to develop software, which compresses sensor data at the source by 10 to 100 times for use in radar, LiDAR, hyperspectral, and electro-optical systems on satellites, UAVs, and other platforms.
