New Delhi-based dating platform Rivet has raised USD 10.5 million in a seed funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Shine Capital and Blume Ventures. The company, which maintains engineering and machine learning teams in India, also received support from former Tinder and OkCupid CEO Elie Seidman.Founded in 2025 by Taru Kapoor and Rajat Sahni, Rivet operates a community-driven matchmaking service that utilizes a "social matching" model. The platform allows users to act as "matchers" who assess and recommend introductions for others. These community recommendations generate a social matching score for potential pairs and once a threshold is met, the candidates are introduced. The company intends to use the fresh capital to advance its product development, expand distribution, and scale its presence across the US, where it recently launched its services nationwide.
