Deepinder Goyal’s LAT Aerospace acquires defence-tech co. Sharang Shakti
Zomator founder Deepinder Goyal-backed LAT Aerospace has acquired Gurugram-based early-stage defence-tech startup Sharang Shakti , marking LAT Aerospace’s move into the segment.Founded in 2023 by IIT-Delhi alumni Karan Goyal, Chirag Singla, Gaurav Kumar, Jitendra Singh, and Rishabh Choudhary, Sharang Shakti focuses on developing anti-drone air defence systems, including low C-SWaP radars for micro-drone detection and hard-kill interceptors. The acquisition aims to enable LAT Aerospace to build indigenous defence capabilities in-house and deploy a shared core technology stack, encompassing autonomy, perception, sensing, navigation, guidance, and control systems, across both defence and civil aviation applications.LAT Aerospace, established in 2025 by Surobhi Das and Deepinder Goyal, initially planned to facilitate high-frequency, low-cost, demand-based regional air travel in India. Goyal infused USD 20 million (about INR 174 crore) into the startup in early 2025.
In Sep 2024, Sharang Shakti had attracted about USD 0.60 M from AUM Ventures, VH Capital, and others.
