Defence electronics co. Sanlayan Technologies acquires stake in Versabyte Data Systems
Bengaluru-based integrated defence electronics company Sanlayan Technologies has acquired a strategic stake in fellow Bengaluru-based Versabyte Data Systems , a supplier of power electronics to India’s defence sector. Versabyte would continue to operate as an independent subsidiary under its existing management.Founded in 1987 by P S Reddy, Versabyte specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of customised power supplies for the defence and military sectors. It holds original equipment manufacturer (OEM) status for power systems used by state-owned defence firms such as Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Electronics, Bharat Dynamics Ltd and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) projects. Its systems support radar, missile, naval and air platforms.
For FY24, Versabyte had reported about INR 56 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 12 Cr in PAT.
