Defence-tech co. Big Bang Boom Solutions attracts Rs.250-Cr from Mumbai Angels, others
Chennai-based defence sector startup Big Bang Boom (BBBS) has raised INR 250 crore in its latest round of funding led by Mumbai Angels Network, Vyom Family Office, SBI Startup Branch Chennai, Asquare Investing and others. The investment, via primary and secondary issues of shares, was facilitated by Negen Wealth.The funding follows the company's recent INR 200 crore deal with the Ministry of Defence for indigenous anti-drone technology.The firm’s defence solutions include Hybrid Personal Combat Armour, a non-lethal way of vessel stopping at sea, 360 Advanced Battle Interface (ABI) and Anti- Drone Defense System.The company has also forayed into Kenya, Algeria, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
In Jun 2020, BBBS had raised USD 1 million through Mumbai Angels Network as part of an overall USD 1.5 million seed round raise.
