Defence-tech startup Optimized Electrotech raises $6-M from Blume, Mela Ventures, others
Ahmedabad-based surveillance startup focused on defence segment, Optimized Electrotech , has raised USD 6 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Blume Ventures and Mela Ventures with participation from existing investors Venture Catalysts, 100Unicorns and Rajiv Dadlani Group, and the startup’s co-founder Sandeep Shah.The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development of AI-powered imaging payloads and high-speed space surveillance systems as well as to expand into overseas markets.The firm, founded in 2017 by Sandeep Shah and Dharin Shah, builds electro-optic imaging systems designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Its products - used across defence, aerospace, and space operations - combine real-time data processing and onboard analytics to deliver high-speed visual intelligence in critical environments.The company aims to raise USD 5 million over the next six months, primarily through strategic investments from semiconductor companies.
Between Feb 2019 and Jan 2023, Optimized Electrotech had attracted about USD 5 M from Dholakia Ventures, Equanimity Investments, GVFL, Samarthya Investment Advisors, Z Nation Lab, and others.
