DHH to pick up 9.5% for $2-M in digital entertainment co. JetSynthesis' Japanese unit
Tokyo headquartered Digital Hearts Holdings (DHH) will pick up a 9.5% stake in the Japanese subsidiary of Pune-headquartered digital entertainment and technology firm JetSynthesys for USD 2 million (301 million yen). DHH provides quality assurance (QA) testing services and has a large share of the Japanese game software testing market. JetSynthesys Japan helps international gaming companies enter the Japanese market by formulating strategy, providing consultation on game design, user interface/experience, and monetisation, optimising the content to the market, and marketing. JetSynthesys will also form a 50:50 joint venture in India with DHH that will combine the resources and know-how of both companies to offer debugging business for customers in India and global markets. DHH will invest USD 1.5 million (228 million yen) in the JV.
