Digital content startup Chai Bisket raises $5-M
Hyderabad-based digital content platform Chai Bisket has raised USD 5 million in a seed funding round led by InfoEdge Ventures and General Catalyst to launch a regional-first over the top (OTT) platform called Chai Shots. The round also saw participation from group of angel investors including Swiggy co-founders Sri Harsha Majety and Nandan Reddy, Phanindra Sama (redbus), Rohit Chennamaneni (Darwinbox), PhysicsWallah co-founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek, Rapido co-founders, Amar Nagaram (Virgio) and film actor Rana Daggubati.Co-founded in 2015 by Sharath Chandra and Anurag Reddy, Chai Bisket is a micro-drama content startup that produces and distributes regional content.
