Digital health-focused semiconductor maker Sophrosyne bags $2-M from Bluehill Capital
Bengaluru-based semiconductor startup Sophrosyne Technologies has raised USD 2 million (about INR 17.7 crore) in a seed funding round from early-stage venture capital firm Bluehill Capital. This funding follows a USD 1.2 million design-linked incentive (DLI) grant the company got from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).Founded in 2022 by Manish Srivastava, Sophrosyne is focused on developing multi-vital biosensing system-on-chip (SoC) solutions for wearable and digital health devices. The startup is also developing proprietary AI models for advanced signal processing, deep learning, and on-edge optimisation to convert physiological data into actionable health insights. The new funds will be used to accelerate the transition from prototype silicon to full-scale product commercialisation, expand silicon and firmware design teams, and grow early customer deployments both within India and globally.
