Dosa chain Benne raises Rs.35-Cr led by Claypond Capital
Mumbai-based Dosa chain Benne has raised INR 35 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Claypond Capital, the family office of Ranjan Pai. The investment round included participation from AL Trusts, Mukul Agrawal, Madhukeshwar Desai, and Cortado Advisory Services.Founded in 2024 by Akhil Iyer and Shriya Narayan, Benne is a quick service restaurant (QSR) chain specialising in Bengaluru-style dosas. The company operates through a model featuring compact outlets and a limited menu to maintain operational efficiency.The company plans to use the new funds to expand its operations and support growth. Following this round, the company reached a post-money valuation of approximately INR 364 crore.
