Drone-tech startup Garuda raises $10-M led by Motherson family office, Dubai’s Aditum

Chennai-based drone technology firm Garuda Aerospace has raised USD 10-M in a pre-IPO funding round led by the Motherson family office and the Dubai-based Aditum Investment Group, valuing the company at USD 320-M pre-money. Founded in 2015 by Jayaprakash and Rithika Mohann, Garuda Aerospace designs, manufactures, and deploys unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for agricultural, industrial, and defence applications.The company plans to use the new funds to advance its operations as it prepares for an initial public offering, which it intends to launch in the first quarter of 2027.

Between May 2022 and Jun 2025, Garuda Aerospace had attracted about $ 31 M from Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office, Ocgrow Ventures, SphitiCap, Claris Capital, Others.For FY25, Garuda Aerospace had reported about INR 118 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 17 Cr in PAT.
