Dubai’s DP World acquires 14% stake in climate-tech startup Maithri
Dubai-based global logistics major DP World has acquired a 14% stake in Hyderabad-based climate tech startup Maithri Aquatech .Founded in 2016 by Ramkrishna Mukkavilli, Maithri Aquatech has developed the Meghdoot atmospheric water generation technology in a joint patent collaboration with the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. The company’s systems extract moisture from the air and transform it into potable water through a multi-stage filtration and remineralisation process.The company operates its water generation units for clients including Indian Railways, ONGC, and various state government schools.
For FY25, Maithri Aquatech had reported about INR 14 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 0.5 Cr in PAT.
