E-bus maker EKA Mobility raises Rs.500-Cr from NIIF’s India-Japan Fund

Pune-based electric bus maker EKA Mobility has raised INR 500 crore from the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) managed India-Japan Fund (IJF).Founded in 2019 by Sudhir Mehta, EKA , a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries, develops and manufactures electric commercial vehicles including buses, trucks, and small commercial vehicles designed for public transportation, long-haul logistics, and last-mile delivery.The new funds will be used to expand its manufacturing capacity, advance research and development initiatives and improve its supply chain infrastructure.

Between Oct 2023 and Jun 2025, Eka Mobility had attracted about USD 123 M from Mitsui PE, Volrado Ventures and others.For FY25, Eka Mobility had reported about INR 234 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 73 Cr in Net Loss.
