E-commerce enablement co. ShopDeck raises $8-M led by Bessemer Venture
Bengaluru-based ShopDeck (formerly, WMall), a direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce solutions provider, has raised USD 8 million (about INR 68 crore) in a funding round led by global investment firm Bessemer Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from Elevation Capital, Venture Highway (acquired by General Catalyst) and Chiratae Ventures. The funds will be used to enhance the startup’s Al-powered technology stack, expand on-ground operations to support sellers across tier-2 and 3 cities, and add talent.The company was founded by Rishabh Verma and Harmin Shah in 2018 as a social commerce platform WMall. It pivoted to e-commerce enablement platform NuShop in 2022, and eventually to ShopDeck.
Between Feb 2019 and Jul 2024, the firm had raised about USD 18.48 M from Bessemer, Chiratae Ventures, Elevation Capital and VH Capital.
