E-scooter maker Simple Energy attracts $180-M led by family offices
Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Simple Energy has raised USD 180-M in an equity funding round led by the family office of Thyrocare Technologies founder A Velumani, with participation from company founder and CEO Suhas Rajkumar, co-founder and CFO Ankit Gupta, Bengaluru-based HNI Amit Mishra, and the Haran Family Office.Founded in 2019 by Suhas Rajkumar and Shreshth Mishra, Simple Energy manufactures electric two-wheelers. The firm plans to use the capital to increase its production capacity from 10,000 to 25,000 scooters per month over the next year and expand its retail and service network across India.Simple Energy reported a fourfold increase in revenue to INR 170-Cr in FY26, up from INR 40-Cr in FY25.
