Eco-friendly brick maker Zerund raises $1.8 M led by SIDBI Venture Capital
Guwahati-based brick manufacturing startup Zerund has raised USD 1.8 million from SIDBI Venture Capital. The round also saw participation from NEDFi Trustee Ltd. ALMT legal acted as the legal advisor to SIDBI VC.The new funds will be used by the company for growth and geographical expansion in the north-eastern region, Maharashtra and also in Bangladesh.Zerund sells eco-friendly, crack/earthquake resistant, lightweight bricks made from waste plastic and other waste materials as ingredients. It has a manufacturing facility in Assam.
Between Feb-22 and Sep-22, Zerund had raised over USD 1 M from DLF Family Office, Anthill Ventures, Northeast Venture Fund and others.
