Edtech startup Yellow Class raises $6-M from Elevation Capital, others
Bengaluru-based Yellow Class, an education technology startup focused on children's extracurricular activities, has raised USD 6 million in a Series A funding round led by Elevation Capital. Angel investors including Meesho's cofounder Vidit Aatrey and PropTiger CEO Dhruv Agarwala as well as existing investors India Quotient, Titan Capital & First Cheque participated in the fundraise. The fresh capital will be used for improving the product, developing more holistic content, building brand awareness, hiring for leadership roles, and driving expansion in more than 500 cities in India and abroad. Yellow Class offers free extracurricular and co-curricular activities for children up to the age of 12, across 40 categories, including art, craft, dance, yoga, general knowledge and logical reasoning. In November last, the firm raised USD 1.5 million from India Quotient.
