Edtech unicorn Byju's to raise Rs.2,200-Cr more led by Oxshott Venture: report
Bangalore-based edtech Unicorn Byju's is raising INR 2,200 crore (USD 296 million) in funding led by Oxshott Venture Fund. Edelweiss, Veriton Fund, XN Exponent Holdings, and MarketX Ventures will also participate in the continuation of Byju's ongoing Series F round. Byju's will allott 77,174 Series F compulsory convertible cumulative preference shares (CCPS) at a premium price of INR 2,85,062. Oxshott Venture Fund will lead by investing INR 1,200 crore in return for 42,905 Series F CCPS. Edelweiss will invest around INR 345 crore and IIFL, INR 111 crore. Verition Fund, a multi-manager hedge fund, will be investing INR 147 crore. XN Exponent Holdings will invest INR 150 crore and MarketX Ventures, INR 144 crore. In June, Byju's had raised about USD 150 million led by Asmaan Ventures and ARK Ncore at a USD 16.8 billion valuation.
