Edtech unicorn Eruditus raises $150-M from Mars Growth Capital, HSBC

Edtech unicorn Eruditus has raised USD 150 million (about INR 1,324 crore) led by MARS Growth Capital and HSBC. Mars Growth Capital will invest USD 100 million. The rest will come from HSBC.The fresh funding aims to bolster the company's global expansion efforts and enhance its operational capabilities.Founded in 2010 by Ashwin Damera and Chaitanya Kalipatnapu, Eruditus works with over 80 universities like MIT, Harvard, Wharton, INSEAD, and Cambridge to offer more than 700 professional courses in 80+ countries.

Between Apr 2017 and Oct 2024, Eruditus had raised about USD 1,313 M from CPPIB, Accel USA, GSV Ventures, SoftBank Corp, CPPIB, TPG Growth, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Peak XV Partners, Prosus Ventures, Bertelsmann India Investments and InnoVen Capital.
