Electric bike maker Oben raises Rs.50-Cr in extended Series A round
Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Oben Electric has raised INR 50 crore in an extended Series A round, with participation from existing investors and new investors including Helios Holdings, Sharda Family Office, and Kay Family. The firm had earlier raised INR 50 crore in January, making the total raised in Series A round to INR 100 crore.The fresh funding will be used by the company for expanding to 150+ showrooms across 50+ cities by FY26, increasing production, enhancing after-sales infrastructure, and accelerating development of a new platform for affordable electric motorcycles.Founded in 2020 by Madhumita Agrawal, Dinkar Agrawal, and Sagar Thakkar, Oben Electric manufactures electric motorcycles. It also makes critical EV components in-house and claims to hold 18+ patents for its proprietary technology and EV components.
Between Jul-22 and Jan-25, Oben Electric had attracted about USD 14.7-M from Dholakia Ventures, Stride Ventures, others.
