Elevation Cap offloads Paytm shares worth Rs.2,038-Cr
Venture capital firm Elevation Capital has offloaded Paytm shares worth INR 2,038 crore through a series of bulk and block deals. The transaction involved two of the firm's entities, SAIF III Mauritius Company and SAIF Partners India IV, which sold 97.43 lakh shares and 41.36 lakh shares, respectively. Additionally, the firm executed a block deal for another 10.20 lakh shares, all at an average selling price of INR 1,367.8 per share.This sale represents the firm’s second partial exit from the fintech major this year, following a share sale worth INR 630 crore in May. Despite these transactions, Elevation Capital retained a stake of over 12% in the company as of the end of the June 2026 quarter.
Elevation Capital first invested in PayTM in Apr 2007. It offloaded a part of its shares on secondary sale in May 2017. The company went public in Nov 2021, as part of which, Elevation Capital had made a part exit. It subsequently sold shares in Nov 2025 and May 2026.For FY25, PayTM had reported about INR 5,825 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 67 Cr in PAT.
