Elevation Capital launches $400-M fund to back IPO-bound startups
Gurugram-based venture capital firm Elevation Capital is moving beyond its early-stage investment focus with a new USD 400 million vehicle designed to take bets on companies that aim to create value in public markets.The late-stage vehicle, called Elevation Holdings, will invest in 10-15 companies with cheque sizes ranging between USD 20 and USD 50 million.The new fund will primarily back companies in the consumer and financial services segments with a technology focus.Elevation Holdings will operate in parallel to its Fund VIII, a USD 670-million early-stage vehicle that backs startups by investing USD 2-5 million.
