Energy developer Evren raises $100-M from ALTERRA, Brookfield for 11 GW energy

Mumbai-based renewable energy developer Evren has raised USD 100 million from UAE-based climate investment firm Alterra (through its unit Alterra Acceleration Fund), along with Brookfield (through its unit Brookfield’s Global Transition Fund II - BGTF II) and other investors.The capital will support the development and construction of 11 GW of wind, solar, and battery storage projects in India, primarily across Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. Evren works closely with domestic manufacturers for equipment such as wind turbines and solar modules, helping localise the clean energy value chain.
