EQT to invest $50-B in India by 2030

Stockholm, Sweden-based EQT plans to invest USD 50 Billion in India by 2030, targeting infrastructure, venture capital and buyout private equity. The firm intends to allocate approximately USD 30 Billion to data centers and USD 5 billion toward renewable energy projects to power those facilities.Founded in 1994 by Conni Jonsson, EQT operates the portfolio company EdgeConneX, which maintains a 50:50 joint venture with Adani Enterprises known as AdaniConnex. The firm plans to route its data center investments through this partnership. It also intends to deploy USD 15-20 Billion into venture and buyout private equity opportunities by 2030.Since 1998, EQT has deployed USD 26 Billion across 30 investments in India, with USD 7 Billion invested since 2023. Current holdings of the firm include Indira IVF Hospital, Credila Financial Services, and several IT services companies.
