Equity research platform Pinegap raises $8-M led by Stellaris Venture Partners
Bengaluru- and New York-based Pinegap has raised USD 8 million in a Series A funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from existing backers Silicon Valley Quad and DeVC.Founded in 2024 by former JPMorgan analyst Ankit Varmani and IIT-BHU alumnus Deepak Sharma, Pinegap operates an agentic AI platform for institutional equity analysts and portfolio managers at hedge funds and mutual funds.The platform automates recurring tasks such as understanding company disclosures, tracking earnings calls, and reviewing structural changes. The company claims to have deployed over 1,000 AI agents across more than 100 customers, generating upwards of 50,000 research reports to date. The company plans to use the new funds to scale operations.
