EV battery maker The Energy Company raises $2-M from Siana Capital, Callapina, others
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle battery producer The Energy Company (TEC) has raised USD 2 million in a Pre-Series A round from Siana Capital, Callapina Capital, Z21 Ventures, 1Crowd, LetsVenture and others.The new funds will be used to grow the firm’s full-stack battery intelligence platform ‘Flexi’, to scale up its batteries ‘FlexiPack’ for electric two-wheelers and e-rickshaws and to expand its presence into the small and medium-sized energy storage systems (ESS) sector with appliances for homes, vacation rentals, and offices.Founded in 2021 by Rahul Lamba, Prashant Rathee and Pratik Somani, TEC develops fast-charging batteries and the accompanying software stack that enables adaptive battery management and second-life applications. It claims to have around 2,000 stations across India in partnership with Ather Energy.
In March 2023, The Energy Company had raised funding from LetsVenture, Sia Angels, We Founder Circle and others.
