EV battery swapping tech player Yuma acquires energy storage co. Grinntech
Bengaluru-based Yuma Energy , a Battery-as-Service (BaaS) firm, has acquired Chennai-based energy storage solutions company Grinntech Motors & Services.The acquisition will enable Yuma Energy to build a vertically integrated BaaS ecosystem that encompasses battery design and production, intelligent charging units, a multi-city swapping network, technology-driven operations, and a customer app with Grinntech's expertise in battery technologies, R&D and manufacturing.
Between Jul 2020 and June 2021, Grinntech Motors had raised about USD 14 M from Lakshmi Narayanan, Venkataramani Sumantran, K S Manian, Magnetic Meter Systems Ltd.
