Eximius Ventures launches $30-M second fund for pre-seed investments
Gurugram-headquartered pre-seed focussed venture capital firm Eximius Ventures has launched its second fund with a target corpus of USD 30 million. The firm is looking to invest in 25-30 companies across fintech, artificial intelligence (AI)/software-as-a-service (SaaS), frontier-tech and consumer-tech segments. The initial ticket size per investment is kept at USD 500,000. Half of the corpus will be reserved for follow-on investments.The new fund follows Eximius’ inaugural USD 10 million fund launched in 2021. It will attract capital from a mix of limited partners (LPs) including high net-worth individuals (HNIs), founder-investors, family offices, as well as global Japanese corporate venture companies (CVCs).Founded in 2020, Eximius has invested in startups like STAN, Eka.care and Fego.ai. Its Fund II has invested in four companies so far across consumer-tech and AI/SaaS. Eximius has either led or co-led these investments with other investors.
