Existing investors in organic dairy startup Akshayakalpa sell shares worth Rs.243-Cr in Series D rou

Existing investors in Tiptur, Karnataka-based dairy startup Akshayakalpa Organic have sold shares worth about INR 243 crore as part of the company’s Series D funding round led by ABC Impact Fund, Venture Intelligence has learnt. The secondary component takes the total deal size to about USD 45 million (about INR 418 crore).The selling shareholders, who made partial exits through the transaction, included early investor Venture Dairy. Veda Corporate Advisors was the advisor to Akshayakalpa on the transaction.As reported in the Deal Digest Daily (Evening Edition) of March 18, Akshayakalpa attracted about INR 175 crore (about USD 19.3 million) in primary capital as part of the round, the proceeds of which will be used to meet working capital needs and support expansion plans. Other investors participating in the round include Rainmatter Capital, Asha Ventures, Catamaran Ventures, and existing investors Waterfield Fund, Pratithi Growth Fund, and A91 Partners.Founded in 2010 by GNS Reddy and Shashi Kumar, Akshayakalpa operates a direct-to-consumer platform for organic milk and dairy products. The company delivers to customers across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Its products are also available in retail outlets and on major e-commerce and quick commerce platforms.

Between Jul-14 and Jan-24, Akshayakalpa had attracted about USD 57 M from A91 Partners, Asha Ventures, Singularity AMC, Lok Capital, Pratithi Investments, Rainmatter Capital, British International Investment, Venture Dairy, and others.For FY25, Akshayakalpa had reported about INR 387 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 27 Cr in Net Loss.
