Fairfax Holdings sells IIFL Wealth Management shares worth Rs.579-Cr

Fairfax Holdings has sold shares worth INR 578.68 crore of publicly listed IIFL Wealth Management Ltd. on Dec 16, 2021. Post the latest sale, the investor would hold a 13.67% stake in IIFL Wealth.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Dec 2015, Fairfax Holdings had invested INR 1,341 crore for a 21.85% stake in IIFL Holdings. Subsequently it invested more into the company. In Mar 2019, three entities - IIFL Finance, IIFL Wealth and IIFL Securities - were spun out from IIFL Holdings and listed separately.
