Farm equipment maker Balwaan Krishi raises Rs.100-Cr led by First Bridge India Growth Fund

Jaipur-based Balwaan Krishi has raised INR 100 crore in a Series B funding round led by First Bridge India Growth Fund, with participation from other institutional investors.Founded in 2016 by brothers Rohit and Shubham Bajaj, the company manufactures agricultural equipment, priced between INR 10,000 and INR 1 lakh, designed for small and marginal farmers. The company claims a user base of over 4 lakh farmers and uses a distribution network of more than 800 dealers across northern India, in addition to e-commerce channels.The company plans to use the new funds to expand its manufacturing capacity to reduce reliance on imported machinery and components.

Between Jul 2021 and Jun 2024, Balwaan Krishi had attracted about USD 7 M from Indigram Labs Foundation, JM Financial, Caspian Advisors, and others.For FY25, Balwaan Krishi had reported about INR 88 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 3 Cr in Net Loss.
