Farm products seller KisanKonnect raises Rs.72-Cr led by Bajaj Finserv, Mistry Ventures, others
Mumbai-based omnichannel farm-to-fork startup KisanKonnect has raised INR 72 crore (USD 8 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Bajaj Finserv Group with participation from existing investor Mistry Ventures as well as Desai Foods, Dhanuka Agritech and the Action Tessa family office.Founded in 2020 by Vivek Nirmal and Nidhi Nirmal, KisanKonnect claims to sell fresh fruits and vegetables via its app and website in under 60 minutes across Mumbai and Pune. It also operates stores that sell products offline. The firm claims to source perishables directly from its network of 5,000 farmers through its village-level collection centres. KisanKonnect claims to leverage AI to streamline traceability and demand forecasting for its 650+ SKUs.The startup plans to use the fresh funds to bolster its tech stack and supply chain, scale both presence, and deepen farmer network.
Between Dec 2023 and Jul 2024, KisanKonnect had raised about USD 8 million from Mistry Ventures, S Four Capital, Breathe Capital, Green Frontier Capital and others.
