Fashion platform Virgio raises $7.4 M from Alpha Wave, others
Bengaluru-based Virgio, the yet-to-be-launched fashion platform founded by former Myntra CEO Amar Nagaram, has attracted INR 59.4 crore or USD 7.4 million in a new tranche in its ongoing series A round led by Alpha Wave Global. Alpha Wave led the tranche with INR 39.8 crore while Viko Ventures, Reddy Futures LLP, and AL trust pumped in INR 3.98 crore, INR 3.98 crore, and INR 3.59 crore respectively. Notable angel investors in the rond include Saif Ali Khan, Bhavish Aggarwal, Sri Harsha Majety, Kunal Shah, Vidit Atrey, and Mekin Maheshwari who collectively put in a further INR 8.05 crore. Founded in February 2022, Virgio, will connect designers and manufacturers to create a fashion ecosystem. It's likely to evangelize the consumer-to-manufacturing model.
