Financial advisory co. Resurgent raises Rs.100-Cr for stressed assets fund
Gurugram-based financial advisory firm Resurgent India Ltd has launched an INR 500 crore special situation fund. The Category I Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) will target stressed assets across India. The fund has raised INR 100 crore in the first close and deployed it in a stressed asset.The fund will focus on acquiring and reviving distressed assets across manufacturing, EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), power, hospitality, healthcare and real estate sectors. It will focus on regions with high industrial activity and stressed asset presence.Established in 2005, Resurgent India is a Category I merchant banker with a pan-India presence and claims to have executed over 1,000 transactions across mergers & acquisitions, private equity and debt syndication.
