Fintech co. PayU buys 43.5% stake in payment infra startup Mindgate Solutions
PayU, the payments and fintech arm of Amsterdam, Netherlands-headquartered Prosus, has acquired a 43.5% stake in Mumbai-based payments infrastructure startup Mindgate Solutions at an enterprise valuation of around USD 200-250 million.Established in 2008, Mindgate Solutions provides digital payment solutions to banks, governments, merchants, and corporations. It claims to process over 8 Billion transactions monthly and support banks with real-time payment infrastructure. Mindgate’s founders will retain majority control, ensuring continuity in strategy and operations.The company claims to have a presence in the Middle East and North Africa region, South East Asia, Europe, and the USA.
