Fintech co. Saswat Finance raises $2.6 M led by Ankur Capital

Mumbai-based fintech startup Saswat Finance has raised USD 2.6 million in a pre-Series A round led by Ankur Capital. The round also saw participation from existing investor Incubate Fund Asia.The new funds will be used to expand the firm’s technology infrastructure, launch new financial products, and scale operations across Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.Founded in 2022 by Arun Tiwari, Indrajyoti Bhattacharjee, and Ravi Ranjan Chaudhary, Saswat Finance delivers financial services to smallholder farmers and micro enterprises. Its proprietary platform claims to enable efficient credit origination, digital collections, and insurance distribution, with focus on cattle loans, insurance, and para-veterinary support.
In Feb 2024, Saswat Finance had attracted about USD 1 M from PE-VC investors.For FY24, Saswat Finance had reported about INR 1 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 2 Cr in Net Loss.
