Fintech unicorn Moneyview cuts IPO size; halves fresh issue to Rs.750-Cr

Bengaluru-based fintech unicorn Moneyview has reduced the size of its initial public offering (IPO) several months after receiving approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The company has halved the fresh issue component of its IPO to INR 750-Cr, down from the initially proposed INR 1,500-Cr. Additionally, the offer for sale (OFS) portion has been reduced to 10.04-Cr equity shares from the previously planned 13.6-Cr shares.Several key investors, including Tiger Global, Accel, Crimson Winter, Ribbit Capital, and NLI Strategic Venture Investment, have reduced the number of shares they intend to sell in the OFS. Co-founders Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, along with Chitra Agarwal, have maintained their planned share divestments.Founded in 2014, Moneyview provides unsecured personal loans to customers through its app, website, and its NBFC (non-banking financial company) arm, Whizdm Finance. Moneyview intends to allocate INR 325-Cr toward growth in loan disbursals under default loss guarantee (DLG) arrangements, while INR 250-Cr will be infused into Whizdm Finance to strengthen its capital base.As of December 31, 2025, Moneyview reported assets under management (AUM) of INR 19,814-Cr, with a net profit of INR 245-Cr over a nine-month period.
