Firstcry’s D2C arm GlobalBees buys addnl 22.5% stake in rainwear seller Solarista for Rs. 5.88 Cr
Direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand roll up GlobalBees , a subsidiary of kids-focused omnichannel retailer FirstCry, has acquired a further 22.5% stake for INR 5.88 crore in Gurugram-based Solarista Renewables Pvt Ltd in an all-cash deal. This brings the total stake of Globalbees in Solarista to 75%.Solarista sells bags and rainwear under the brand name "The Clownfish" and had a turnover of INR 34.18 crore in FY 2023-24 with a networth of INR 22.22 crore.This investment comes just weeks after FirstCry’s parent company, Brainbees Solutions Ltd, announced an investment of AED 50 million (about INR 114.1 crore) in its UAE subsidiary, FirstCry Management DWC LLC.
