FMCG-focused B2B wholesale platform Apnaklub raises $3.5 M from Sequoia Surge
Bengaluru-based Apnaklub, a B2B wholesale platform for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), has raised USD 3.5 million in seed funding from Sequoia Surge, Sequoia Capital India's accelerator programme for startups in India and Southeast Asia. With this, the startup has raised a total of USD 5 million. ApnaKlub will use the new capital to expand across more rural areas as well as to increase its range of services and products. Founded in July 2019 by Shruti and Manish Kumar, Apnaklub connects retailers, such as 'kirana' and general stores in semi-urban and rural areas, to a wide range of consumer goods and brands through its network of digitally-connected wholesale partners. Its agent-led solution currently has more than 5,000 wholesalers.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: ApnaKlub had raised funding from Whiteboard Capital, Blume Ventures and Sequoia Capital India in Jun-21.
