Food delivery platform Zepto to raise Rs.1000-Cr in pre-IPO round at $4.5 B valuation
Bengaluru-based Zepto is set to raise approximately INR 1,000 crore in a pre-IPO funding round at a valuation of USD 4.5 billion. The capital infusion is expected to be led primarily by domestic investors to increase the Indian shareholding in the company.Founded in 2021 by Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, Zepto operates a quick-commerce platform. The company has deferred its initial public offering, which was previously targeted for July 2026.Zepto filed its preliminary IPO papers in December 2025 through the confidential pre-filing route with the Securities and Exchange Board of India. The proposed IPO includes a fresh issue of shares totaling INR 8,010 crore and an offer for sale of 11.35 crore equity shares by existing shareholders. As of March 31, 2026, the company operated 1,139 stores and reported an annual transacting user base of nearly 48 million.
Between Jan 2021 and Oct 2025, Zepto had attracted about $ 2463 M from 2AM Ventures, Contrary Capital, Rocket Internet, Glade Brook Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Avenir Growth, General Catalyst Partners, Glade Brook Capital, Goodwater Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, StepStone Group, Others.For FY26, Zepto had reported about INR 18,695.06 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 4,115.57 Cr in Net Loss.
