Food manufacturing-focused AI co. Aliment raises pre-seed led by Navam Capital

Pune-based startup Aliment has raised a pre-seed round led by Kolkata-based venture capital fund Navam Capital.Founded in 2026, Aliment builds physical AI for food manufacturing to monitor production floor activities. It's technology includes the Truth Machine, an edge-AI device installed at workstations to capture production activity in real time. The system uses multimodal AI and measurement tools to guide operators, record deviations and generate sensory records for batches from raw material to dispatch. The device integrates with existing ERP platforms and functions across products and factories without requiring custom model training.The company plans to use the capital to fund product development and expand commercial deployments.
