Fraud protection platform Bureau Identity raises $4.5 M from GMO Venture, others
Bangalore- and San Francisco, CA (USA)-based identity verification and fraud protection platform Bureau Identity has raised USD 4.5 million from GMO Venture Partners, GMO Payment Gateway, and existing investors to close its Series A funding round at USD 16.5 million. Bureau helps companies prevent fraud and keep in step with compliance regulations. Sectors served by the company include banking, fintech, insurance, the gig economy and real money gaming. It claims to have increased its customer and revenue numbers 6x over the last 12 months, with 300 million identities verified through its platform.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Aug-20 and Dec-21, Bureau Identity had raised over USD 16 M from XYZ Ventures, Commerce Ventures, Village Global, Emphasis Ventures, Quona Capital, Blume Ventures, Others.
