Front-end DevTools startup Locofy raises $4.25 M led by Northstar Ventures
Singapore- and India-based Locofy.ai, a front-end development acceleration platform that uses artificial intelligence to convert designs to code, has raised USD 4.25 million in its second seed-stage round of funding led by Northstar Ventures. Other participants include existing investors Golden Gate Ventures, Accel India and Aviondor Group. Individual investors in the round include Arash Ferdowsi, co-founder and chief technology officer of Dropbox, Nattu Adnan, co-founder and CTO of Lottiefiles, and leadership team members from Tinder, Zopim, Paysense and Betterhalf.ai. The startup, with employees across India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Philippines and Canada, converts web and mobile app designs into front-end coding languages, eliminating hundreds of hours of grunt work for front-end and full-stack developers. Locofy.ai claims to have about 110,000 sign-ups from developers and designers across 195 countries at startups, enterprises, and freelance and student communities.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Mar-22, Locofy.ai had raised USD 3 million in pre-seed funding from Accel, January Capital, Golden Gate Ventures and Boldcap. Angel investors and tech founders from companies such as Ola, Hasura, Holistics, Wego, GajiGesa, 1Bstories, Ohmyhome, CyberSierra and Wekan, and Australian graphic design platform Canva’s former head of growth, also participated in the round.
