Fruit drinks seller Swizzle raises Rs.2-Cr

Bengaluru-based Swizzle has raised INR 2 crore in a seed funding round led by angel investors Sooraj Singh, founder and CEO of Unibots, and Shaili Chopra, founder of SheThePeople and Gytree. The funding round was finalised on the entrepreneurship television show Ideabaaz.Swizzle , founded in 2020 by Vrinda Singhal and Deepender Singh, is a clean-label beverage startup that sells drinks using real fruits and herbs, without artificial flavors, colors, or chemicals. The company plans to use the capital to expand its presence across retail, hospitality (HoReCa), vending machines, and quick-commerce platforms. The funds will also be used to scale the manufacturing capacity, hire talent, and introduce new products.Over the next 12-18 months, Swizzle aims to expand its distribution to 5,000 retail outlets in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with plans to reach over 20,000 outlets nationwide. The company is also targeting placement in 7,500 vending machines and over 2,000 HoReCa outlets.

Between Jul 2022 and Mar 2024, Swizzle had attracted funding from Akshay Singhal and others.For FY24, Swizzle had reported about INR 78 Lakhs in Operating Income and about INR 27 Lakhs in Net Loss.
