Fundamentum raises $227-M for second fund; to deploy in 12 cos
Growth Capital focused investment firm Fundamentum Partnership - co-founded by Nandan Nilekani, Sanjeev Aggarwal and Ashish Kumar - has raised USD 227 million for its second fund and plans to deploy the fresh capital in about 12 early growth-stage companies over the course of the fund's life. The sector-agnostic firm will look at companies working in software-as-a-service (SaaS), healthcare, digital content and businesses that are building for non-metro cities. Fundamentum has already identified two companies where it will invest. The first fund of USD 100 million had invested in six companies.
