Furniture rental firm Rentomojo’s Rs.1,256-Cr IPO oversubscribed

Bengaluru-based Rentomojo’s initial public offering has been subscribed 17.18 times. The INR 1,255.57 crore IPO consists of a fresh issue worth INR 150 crore and an offer for sale of 2.74 crore equity shares valued at INR 1,105.57 crore.The IPO received bids for 37.41 crore shares against an offer of 2.18 crore shares. The non-institutional investor segment recorded a subscription of 42.54 times, while the retail investor quota was subscribed 10.21 times, and the qualified institutional buyers subscribed 10.41X.The OFS includes participation from existing shareholders, including Edelweiss Discovery Fund - Series I, IDG Ventures India Fund III, ValueQuest S.C.A.L.E. Fund, Accel India IV (Mauritius), Madison India Opportunities V VCC, TM Naigama Investment Manager, GMO Payment Gateway, Chiratae Trust, Geetansh Bamania, Renaud Laplanche, and GMO GFF Ltd Partnership.Founded in 2012 by Geetansh Bamania, Rentomojo operates a full-stack, direct-to-consumer platform that provides rental and subscription services for furniture and home appliances across India.The company intends to use the net proceeds from the fresh issue to settle debt, and cover lease rentals or licence fees for its warehouses and experience stores.In FY26, the company reported operating revenue of INR 387 crore, an increase from INR 266 crore in the previous fiscal year, while its profit after tax reached INR 104.3 crore, compared to INR 43.1 crore in FY25.

Between Aug 2015 and Feb 2026, RentoMojo had attracted about USD 108 M from Accel India, Chiratae Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, ValueQuest, Madison India, Pratithi Investments, and others.
