Gaming startup LightFury Games adds Rohit Sharma as investor
Bengaluru-based LightFury Games has raised capital from former India cricket captain Rohit Sharma.Founded in 2024 by Anurag Banerjee, Tina Balachandran and former Unacademy CMO Karan Shroff, LightFury Games plans to use the new funds to develop its mobile cricket game, eCricket, and strengthen its infrastructure, content pipeline, and live operations to support player engagement following its launch.Rohit Sharma is the eighth cricketer to invest in the company, joining a group that includes MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Tilak Varma, and Sai Sudharsan.
Between Apr 2024 and Apr 2026, LightFury Games had attracted about $19-M from Blume Ventures, MIXI, V3 Ventures, Gemba Capital, Java Capital and Others.For FY25, LightFury Games had reported about INR 1 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 3 Cr in Net Loss.
