Gaming startup LightFury raises $11-M from VC investors, cricketers

Bengaluru-based LightFury Games has raised USD 11 million (about INR 103 crore) in a funding round from Blume Ventures, V3 Ventures, MIXI, and Times Internet. The round also received strategic backing from Indian cricketers MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Varma and Sai Sudharsan.Founded in 2024 by Karan Shroff, Tina Balachandran, and Anurag Banerjee, LightFury Games is an AAA-focused studio aiming to build globally competitive titles from India, focusing on a global AAA cricket gaming franchise. The company plans to deploy the capital to complete the development of its mobile-first AAA title, eCricket, and build its live operations stack, including post-launch content pipelines.

In Apr 2024, Lightfury Games had attracted about USD 8.50 M from Blume Ventures, Gemba Capital, Java Capital, MIXI, others.
